Division of Services Resources
  • Service Excellence Program

Service Excellence Program- The University is
committed to achieving sustainable growth in
research and teaching, and excellence in support
services is a key enabler of this growth.- Our
current modes of support service delivery will
soon begin to constrain rather than sustain
further growth.- The University was successful
in receiving a grant of over 3m from the
Commonwealth Government for the program.
The Service Excellence Program will- Deliver
significant efficiency benefits by reducing the
need for low- level administrative work by
academic staff- Deliver strategic and advisory
services that directly support the capacity and
decision making of the academic and student
community- Enable additional investment in
research and teaching and- Result in knowledge
transfer to University staff about service
delivery in support of the Universitys goals.

Program scope- The University of Adelaide is
committed to a whole-of-institution approach to
this reform program.- More than 1,000 staff are
involved in service delivery across the
University approximately 70 of professional
staff (non-academic staff) and about 40 of
total University staff.- The Program will cover
support services delivered from the central
Divisions and from Faculties and Schools.
