• What is a Student Rep?
• A student who represents student views from their
  department for a year (Nov-end of Oct)
• Feedback good not just bad things
• Tell students about changes, on courses,
  programmes and across the University

• What do they do?
• Talk to students about their experience on their
  course/programme
• Attend meetings to share these views
• Give valuable input to changes that may be made
• Gain valuable communication and negotiation
  skills

• Why should I become a Student Rep?
• Itll look great on your CV
• You get a say in changes that affect you
• You will get to know more about your department
• You will gain lots of great skills

• How do I become a Rep?
• Go to www.studentreps.co.uk to get more info
• Fill in a nomination form
• Get students from your department to vote for you
• If elected, go to training get ongoing support
  throughout the year

• What if I dont have time to be a rep?
• Make sure you vote
• Tell your rep when things arent going great on
  your course/programme
• Tell your rep when things are good!
