PEER TUTORING PROGRAM

• Assisting students who need additional support
  in developing their numeracy skills

Who organises this program?

• A trial Peer Tutoring Program has been organised
  through the newly formed Peer Tutoring Club for
  year 8 students requiring extra assistance
  outside their normal maths classes.
• This club will be organising tutors, who are very
  able mathematics Y10-12 students, to provide one
  to one mathematics tuition to Year 8 students,
  during Tuesday lunchtimes (in room P001).

How will it work?

• Starting Friday 17th August a booking sheet will
  be placed on the noticeboard every Friday in the
  Year 8 centre for students to book a tutor.
• Based on the number of tutors available,
  assistance will be provided for year 8 students
  on a first come first serve basis.
• The Peer Tutoring Program will be implemented on
  a trial basis starting on Tuesday 21st August
  from 12.55 to 1.40pm in room P001.

What is required?

• Record your name on membership list (circulated
  at the meeting)
• Complete the following forms by the end of this
  meeting
• PEER TUTORING CLUB MEMBERSHIP FORM
• TUTOR PROFILE FORM (this form will also be used
  to provide information about tutors to year 8
  students and parents via the school intranet)
