Alannon Produce Trials have been running for 5
years. The current trial is the last of the
series.

THE FUTURE? This is the last year of this type of
trial. The breeding program had a number of
reviews and a new approach approved. It was
obviously difficult to develop a program that
every one supported. It is now a modern
scientifically based program. Australian
horticulture is losing its government supported
science base. We need to make the most of our
current resources.

• the National Potato Breeding Program Seed

• At Toolangi is taken to Thorpdale for the trial

2. Each season a commercial grower has made a
trial site available. Crop observations are made
during growth. We are looking for quick and even
emergence and good plant establishment.
