NAWIC Chapter 194 Goes to New York City

• Ms. Ellen in our room, on the phone reporting
  back home that we are on our way to Times Square
  to see if we can get on the set of Good Morning
  America (G.M.A.). We were invited by the Florida
  region to go with them!

• Its 500 A.M. in the morning. Betty
  Ellen walking toward Times Square/G.M.A. Heather
  is tagging along behind. Marcia Katy were the
  smart ones and took the taxi.

  for our morning meeting but we stayed a little

  Believe it or not, the park is gorgeous! Its
  hard to believe that there is such a beautiful
  park right in the middle of NYC.

• This is Grand Central Station. A lot of movies
  have been filmed in Grand Central Station. The
  outside of the building was and still is under
  construction. We went for a walk through the
  station. Very unique!

  of fuzzy as we were on a dinner cruise in the
  harbor. It was just magnificent at night though!

• Ground Zero. It is very heavily gated/fenced
  all the way around Ground Zero. The brown signs
  hanging on the fence has the names of the people
  whose lives were taken that day.

• Ground Zero. The buildings in the background are
  either buildings that were damaged or were torn
  completely down and are now being re-built.
  There is a ton of re-building going on around
  Ground Zero including Ground Zero itself!

• Ground Zero. This building is being built right
  next to Ground Zero but they had huge blankets
  covering the construction of it. We dont know
  why.

• As you walk around the area of Ground Zero there
  are huge pictures hanging of different
  information about the Towers. As you read the
  information and walk the area it really puts
  things in perspective of that day.

• A part of the steel of the towers that
  symbolizing a cross. There are messages on the
  steel. Most likely they are going to incorporate
  this into the new tower.

• Ground Zero. The orange area is 6 or 7 floors
  below the ground level. That is where they are
  currently doing the re-construction. Penn
  Station - NYCs train subway transportation
  system was under the towers! They are
  re-constructing all the tunnels and reinforcing
  the ground.

• Ground Zero. A bigger picture of the area. Can
  you see the steel cross? Can you see all the NYC
  police cars lined up? Can you see all the
  construction going on? Can you see all the
  people coming going? It is just busy, busy,
  busy!!!

• This is a park right down from Ground Zero.
  Maury, Ellen, Betty I went for a long walk
  after going to ground zero. The park was also
  the area where you went to take boat tours to The
  Statue of Liberty.
