GDS Integration
SpeedFares speeds up the booking process by
searching the Internet whilst you are working in
your GDS.Based on your GDS command, SpeedFares
is automatically activated and a popup window
informs you which carriers service the route you
have requested.SpeedFares is initiated based on
Availability inputs, Fare quotes and Pricing
inputs in your GDS.Selecting Search initiates
a search of the web-sites of the carriers
supporting the route.

SpeedFares Search
The SpeedFares bar shows the suppliers and the
search takes place in parallel allowing you to
continue work in the GDS. When you are ready to
see the result from the Internet search, you
click on arrow next to each supplier or select to
see a complete overview via the pricelist (see
later). By selecting a supplier you will be
taken directly to the suppliers web page.

Surfing the Web
As you can see in this example SpeedFares has
already finished the first search step (in this
case on EasyJets website). All you have to do
is to continue the booking on the providers
site. At any time in the process you can view
other suppliers. All you have to do is click on
the arrow below the relevant supplier.

Using The Pricelist
Usingthe Price list makes it even easier and
quicker to find the lowest airfares on the
Internet.The pricelist will take the lowest
fares from each supplier and show it in one and
the same list giving you an exact overview of
pricing and departure times for comparison and
converts all fares to your base currency. This
will make it easy to compare the different fares
and even spot if it cheaper to buy two one-ways
with different suppliers since all fares are
displayed as one-ways.

Creating Ghost Segments
SpeedFares will capture theflights you selected
from the price list to create Ghost segments
in your GDS. All you have to do it to add the
booking number and SpeedFares will generate a
ghost booking in your GDS. In the box Memo you
can add information that will not be transferred
to your GDS but will be transferred to your
Administration Module.

Manual Search in SpeedFares
If you do not use a GDS you can easily search
directly in SpeedFares in 3 easy steps 1.
Specify where you want to go. You can use
3-letter codes or city name (even in different
languages). In Setup you can type your default
departing city. 2. Specify departure and return
dates. Type the date in any format or click on
the calendar. You can search for one way or
return prices. 3. Specify number of travellers
and date range. This information is important
when you want SpeedFares to assist you making
your reservation. Use the date range field to
shop for fares around the specified dates. As
soon as you have specified city combination, a
list of suppliers supporting that route is shown.
Previous searches are saved in a history list.

SMART Search
Sometimes you can save up to a thousand Euro per
ticket if you fly to/from an airport close to a
major city. SpeedFares can help you identify
these saving opportunities! If you e.g. search
fares from Copenhagen to London, SpeedFares will
also suggest fares from Malmø to London. If you
e.g. search from Sønderborg (SGD) to Munich (MUC)
SpeedFares will automatically suggest leaving
from Hamburg (only an hour away). Result a
non-stop flight and a big saving. Search
results based on SmartSearch will be shown in a
different colour.

SpeedFares Auto Fill
Auto-Fill further supports the booking process by
automatically transferring contact and payment
data into the passenger information section of
the web-site. Auto-fill can transfer
information such as Contact Person Company Addre
ss Phone E-mail address FOP Credit Card Data

SpeedFares Travel Rules
You can add different rules you want SpeedFares
to inform you about when searching and comparing
fares. Adding rules in SpeedFares gives you
many advantages. A rule can e.g. inform you
about a preferred airline on certain destinations
or if you have a special negotiated price you
need to take into consideration.If SpeedFares
finds a rule that is relevant for you search it
will be shown in the upper part of the SpeedFares
bar for a period of 10 seconds. If you want to
see the rule for a longer period of time you
single click on the rule text. If you want the
rule text to disappear you double click on the
rule text.

SpeedFares Set-up
Use the SpeedFares Setup window to customize
SpeedFares to your personal needs. Activate the
different low cost airlines and specify User Name
and Password if you want SpeedFares to log in
using your account id. Some airline websites
supports the possibility to choose a specific
language and currency. For those airlines we have
added the possibilities in a drop list. You
also use the Setup window to specify base
currency and what GDS you are using.

Introduction to the Administration Module
The administration module is accessed from
www.speedfares.com/admin and the SpeedFares
administrator will receive a password
from support_at_skygate.dk This module allows you
to administer the site, e.g. see how many active
licenses you have, the users, versions, create
access, when users last logged in and delete
users. In addition the module gives you access
to a numbers of statistics, e.g. how many
searches and ghost segments have been created

Generating Statistics
Under the menu option Group Statistics, it is
possible to gather statistics regarding the
number of searches and the number of sells (ghost
segments created) per account, office, user and
for specific periods. Please notice that you
can have different accounts and under every
account you have access to your specific
offices/users

Activity per Month and per Day
In this example you can see an activity break
down per month and per day, displaying searches
in relation to sells (generated ghost
segments). SkyGate started to store information
about the number of sold segments, as of March
1st 2005.

Exporting to Excel
In this section you can define the information
that you like to be exported to Excel. Please
remember to define if you want to make statistics
on actions (searches) or sells.

Excel Export
The outcome is statistics in Excel format, which
you can use to generate your own
statistics. When creating ghost segments, please
note the box MEMO. The MEMO information is not
be transferred to the GDS, but is stored in the
Administration module and exported to Excel. This
can be used for internal information, e.g.
account information, prices etc.
