Grading
  • There will be 2 homework assignments (100 pts)
  • There are 2 exams (200 pts.).
  • There are 4 to 6 lab sessions (60 pts)
  • There is subjective grade related to attendance
    and participation (40 points).
  • Your grade will be calculated based upon the
    percentage of points you get divided by 400.

  • Each person will be individually graded on their
    exams.

Homework Assignments
  • There will be 2 homework assignments.
  • The class will be divided into groups of 3.
  • Each week an individual will be randomly chosen
    from the groups to work a problem chosen from the
    homework assignment.
  • The group will be graded on a 1 to 10 scale
  • 10 No errors
  • 9 Minimal errors
  • 7 On the right track
  • 5 On the wrong track
  • 3 No track
  • 1 You showed up

Lab Assignments
  • There are 4 to 6 lab assignments.
  • There will a maximum of 2 in a lab group.
  • Each person must submit a lab report.
  • The problem will be graded on a 1 to 10 scale
  • 10 Could not be done better
  • 9 Above average
