Tip 5 Insulate Windows

• Insulate your windows as tightly as possible
• Insulate with thick material to the ground or
  within window reveal
• Canberra needs double glazing (or secondary
  glazing at the least)

Tip 6 Heating Savings

• Warm a small living space
• Limit hours of operation
• Control thermostat
• (18 to 21 degrees C in winter)
• Wear warm clothing

consumption The standby power for an air
conditioner for a year uses the same power as it
does running 20 days for 8 hours If the switch
can be easily reached and it doesnt affect
programming of the device, turn it off!
