Appearance
  • If you see a mouth full of razor sharp, jagged
    edged teeth coming at you, move out of the way.
  • Great white sharks can get to be more than 14
    feet long, and can weigh 5,940 - 7,040 pounds.
  • Wow!
  • They are gray and white because when you look
    down they blend with the water and when you look
    up they blend with the sky.
  • Sharks have lots of teeth.
  • If one falls out, another grows in its place.

  • How many great white sharks live in California?
  • About 150 great white sharks live there.
  • Most great white sharks have 1 to 2 babies.
  • Their population is declining. Fishermen are
    finding sharks.

Habitat
  • Where do great white sharks live?
  • They live in cold water.
  • They dont live near the Equator because the
    water is warm.
  • They live all over the place because they
    migrate.
  • Sharks live at the bottom of the sea, but they
    come up to the surface for air.

  • If you think great white sharks eat people, you
    might be right.

  • fish
  • dolphins,
  • seals,
  • squid,
  • sea turtles,
  • Seabirds
  • whale carcasses.
  • Sometimes they actuallly eat people. Sharks have
    bad eyesight. They mistake us for fish. If you
    are on a boogie board they think you are a
    turtle. So watch out!
