Introduction
  • "Given the fact that one of the structural
    problems bedevilling our economy is the problem
    of the skills deficit, the prioritisation of
    skills development is not only an imperative but
    a matter of survival,"
  • spare no energy in ensuring that the skills
    revolution gains the momentum needed to save the
    economy from haemorrhaging.

    closely monitor the 18 SETAs to ensure that they
    train unemployed people to be re-integrated in
    productive economic activities.

The research objectives of the study are
  • To find out where the non-registered members are
  • To find out who they are
  • To find out what are their needs
  • To find out what are their expectations of
    Services SETA
  • To find out what are their current perception of
    Services SETA
  • To find out what would motivate them to join

Research Methodology
  • A thorough questionnaire design process in close
    collaboration with the research team members from
    Services SETA
  • Chamber chairs were interviewed to include their
    views and requirements in the questionnaire
  • Personal interviews with the relevant respondents
    were conducted
  • Thorough sample design process
