  • Each year during the month of November, Pulaski
Technical College conducts an Open Enrollment
period for all benefits. During this time,
employees may elect to make changes to their
existing benefits coverage. For example, if
someone has employee only coverage and wishes
to change to family coverage, they may make
this change during the month of November. All
Open Enrollment benefit changes will take effect
    on January 1st.
  • During the course of the year, employees may make
changes to their benefits due to "qualifying
events". Qualifying events may occur due to
change in marital status, the birth or adoption
of a child, a change in the spouses job, etc.
If you feel you have a qualifying event and would
like to make a change, please contact the Human

Computer Use
  • Use attachments only when necessary. The size of
attachments should be limited, since large
    attachments, particularly graphics and
photographs, slow down the system considerably.
If a document is less than two pages in length,
use the copy and paste functions to insert the
text into the body of the e-mail message.
  •
  • When an attachment is necessary, include a brief
explanation in the body of the e-mail message
regarding the content of the attachment.
Remember Many subscribers will not open an
attachment if they do not know in advance that it
contains information they will want to see.
  •
  • Users should not open any attachment from an
unknown person or for which there is not a
reasonable explanation in the body of the e-mail
message. Following this practice should inhibit
    the spread of viruses.
  •
  • Users should remember that it is inappropriate to
forward personal e-mail messages to a mailing
list without the original author's permission. It
is also inappropriate to forward "chain" messages
    to a mailing list.
  •
  • No commercial message, i.e. an offer to sell or
trade personal items, should be sent using
    Pulaski Technical College e-mail accounts
  • At all times, use language and style appropriate
to a professional environment. Remember e-mails
may be subject to public record laws. Deleting a
message does not necessarily remove it from the
    college's back-up files.
