The territory of the Tomsk Oblast Research and
Innovation Special Economic Zone lies within the
city boundaries its area is 197 ha.
The allotted territory includes Tomsk Scientific
Centre of the SB of the Russian Academy of
Sciences. 15-20 minutes are required to reach
the centre of the city by car. In 2007-2008 all
the necessary material and technical
infrastructure will be built on this territory.
In the Tomsk research and innovation special
economic zone duty-free customs import, decrease
in taxes to 30 , an opportunity to rent the
ground with the subsequent repayment of buildings
and constructions are provided

Strength Physics and Materials Science of the
Siberian Branch of the RAS)
Regional Innovation System Interaction between
universities, research organizations, science
parks and industries.
  • Sorbents for drinking water purification from
    arsenic
  • In India, China, Vietnam, Taiwan, Korea, Africa,
  • Argentina, Chile, Mexico) arsenic concentration
  • in more than 80 of drinking water sources is
  • several ten times higher than permitted by the
  • standard of the World Health Organization.
  • The most mass poisoning induced by arsenic
  • pollution of drinking water occurs today in
  • Bangladesh.
  • The sorbent developed in Tomsk is inexpensive
  • (5 for 1 kg) and has high throughput capacity
  • and enormous service capacity (100 000 liters
  • for 1 kg.
  • Sales planned gt 500 million
  • World market size - gt100 billion
  • Composite sorbent filtration material (filter)
  • AquaVallis for water purification from all
  • kinds of microbiological contaminants
  • Competitive advantages
  • Efficiency of adsorbtion 99.999999100
  • Sorbtion capacity is 3 times higher and the price
is 30 less in comparison with existing analogs
  • World market of water industry 365 bill.

  • Competitive advantages
  • High biocompatibility and resistivity to
    biological
  • liquids.
  • The implants allow to influence purposefully on
  • processes of bone tissue restoration and 3 4
  • times increase the bone growth speed at using
  • of external fixators.
  • The implants provide increase of calcium content
  • in a bone tissue.
  • Potential consumers
  • Manufacturers of orthopaedic equipment.
  • Orthopaedic and traumatological clinics.
  • Patients with traumas, orthopaedic pathologies.
  • Veterinary clinics.
  • In the USA about 250 000 hip fractures are
  • registered annually. The total cost of their
  • reatment is about 7 000 000 000 US dollars.
  • Production - bioactive orthopaedic implants
  • These implants are introduced in clinical praxis
  • on the whole territory of Russia.
  • The works for establishing production of the new
  • calcium phosphate nanobiomaterials obtained
  • financing of the European Commission.
  • The implants and nanobiomaterials will be
  • exported to the European Union.
  • Using of nanostructured scaffolds allows to
reduce the external fixation time from 70 to 46
    days
