educational establishments, staff, industry and
students, as well as providing the structure for
effective co-operation.

Since 1987 institutions of Higher Education from
countries throughout the European Union and
Central/Eastern Europe have joined the network.
Membership is available to all institutions
providing business education and training beyond
secondary stage.

  • The aims of the organisation are
  • To promote the development of a European
    curriculum for all students undertaking
    studies in the field of business education.
  • To provide opportunities for staff employed
    in its member institution to further their
    professional development.
  • To assist members in achieving their
    organisational aims objectives associated
    with international activities.

The aims of the organisation are
  • To meet the need of the European labour market
    for employees with appropriate business
    knowledge with linguistic and work related
    skills.
  • To work in co-operation with national and
    international agencies in promoting
    international programmes and projects.

  • To develop, promote, administer and validate
    award certificated European business
    qualifications.
  • To facilitate European international student
    exchanges and inter-institutional activities for
    students of Businet members.

  • To develop the curriculum undertaken by business
    students in full or part-time programmes as well
    as distance learning.
  • To promote the acquisition of skills in European
    languages for students and for staff.
  • To promote and support the use of the European
    Credit Transfer System (ECTS).

    networks of international work and study
    placements for students and staff.
  • To identify and disseminate examples of good
    educational practice.

    Commission and implement its educational

    Vinci programmes.

  • Ordinary members
  • educational establishments
  • available to educational establishments
    recognised by national or regional education
    delivering on systems, business curriculum's for
    full or part time students over the age of 16
  • ordinary members have full voting rights

Types of Membership Associate members Associate
membership is available to any enterprise (public
or private) that supports the aims and objectives
of the association. Associate members are invited
by an ordinary member to become part of the
organisation. No membership fee is payable.

Activities
The main networking of the organisation is done
at two levels On institutional level where the
main activities are the annual conference and
meetings of the International Relation Managers
Group At a curriculum levelthere are 6
curriculum groups and 3 support groups that meet
at the annual conference and promote co-operation
and joint activities
