About Ramages Comet

• Ramages comet was discovered by Amy Ramage. The
  comet was discovered in the U.S.A. It is unique
  because it was purple, green and red. Amy Ramage
  was outside one night looking in her telescope
  and all the sudden she saw this comet. She found
  it in the year 2007.

Facts About Comets

• . It brings them close to the sun and Comets are
  in orbit around the sun as are our planets.
• Comet orbits are elliptical takes them far away.
• Short period comets orbit the sun every 20 years
  or less. Long period comets orbit the sun every
  200 years or longer. Those comets with orbits in
  between are called Halley-type comets.
• Comets are composed of ices, dust and rocky
  debris carried from the early formation of the
  solar system about 4.5 billion years ago.

• There are three parts of a comet. They are the
  coma, the nucleus, and the tail. There are two
  tails. They are the gas tail and the dust tail.
