What is Greek Life?
  • Fraternity/sorority
  • A social network of individuals, joined together
    through a common purpose, goals, and values
  • Governed by national organizations NIC, NPC,
    NPHC
  • Each supports national philanthropic organization

Greek Life Mission Statement
  • The mission of the office of Greek Life at the
    University of Texas at Tyler is to promote
    excellence in leadership, scholarship, and
    service while challenging members to live and
    lead according to the principles outlined by
    their own organization. As leaders of today and
    tomorrow, fraternity and sorority members are
    encouraged to positively promote Greek Life in
    the college and local community.
  • The office of Greek Life strives to enhance the
    collegiate experience of fraternity men and women
    through their involvement in the Greek community
    through leadership opportunities, educational
    programs, and other services aimed to develop the
    students through their experience as they become
    UT Tyler and Greek alumni.
