What lead up to the War?
  • The US was still under British rule
  • This meant that the King could do whatever he
    wanted to do with the colonist in America
  • So he raised taxes

  • Taxed goods like glass, paper, silk, lead, and
    tea. Also set up new ways to collect taxes
