What are Downbursts?
  • A downbursts is section of rain-cooled air that
    hits the ground and spreads out in all different
    directions.

  • They are classified very dangerous because it
    can flip a plane filled with passengers when it
    is taking off or landing.

  • Downbursts are produced by the air pressure
    pushing on the ground and spreading in all
    different directions during a thunder storm.

Dry downbursts occur when a thunder storm brings
very little rain. A wet down bursts are created
by thunder storms with high amounts of rain fall

Downbursts are classified severe weather because
it can flip houses, planes, and rip up trees.
