Students of the Month

Curriculum Corner The students have returned from
winter break with enthusiasm and high goals! We
have now made the transition from print and will
do all class assignments in cursive handwriting.
We are also working on plays in reading for
Readers Theater and will soon move into Tall
Tales and Greek Mythology. In Science we are
finishing up our class experiments and will begin
our study of space and the solar system.
Mathematics is teaching us more about place value
and will soon transition us into geometry. In
Social Studies we will soon be focusing on the
Southeastern region of the U.S. as well as
learning about Chinese New Year.

Our class needs donations of paper streamers
(various colors) for our Chinese New Year
dragons. We will use them on Wednesday, January
21. Thank You!
