Fashion in the 1950s

• In the 1950s the mood of the time was one of
  optimism. This resulted in a fashion full of
  sophisticated looks including outfits with
  matching accessories. Make up was being worn and
  beauty was something which was focused on.
• At this time, industries were also growing,
  resulting in the production of more and more
  readily available and stylish clothes.

Fashion in the 1960s and 1970s

• In the 1960s fashion trends started being set by
  younger people. Geometric hairstyles, black eye
  makeup, white lipstick, and mini-skirts were all
  formed. This look was one in which younger
  people loved, and older people despised.
• Around the 1970s, the Punk Movement took place.
  Different hair colors, tattered clothes, chains,
  safety pins and metal studs all became popular.
  A new health and fitness crazy also led to the
  trend of athletic clothes.

Fashion in the 1980s and 1990s

• In the 1980s womens clothes started to become
  more similar to men's clothes. Small suits,
  exaggerated shoulder lines, shoulder pads and
  short, neat, hairstyles came into fashion.
• By the 1990s there were so many different trends
  that if was difficult to pick out the current
  one. More sportswear, leisure wear, body suits
  and bright colors were being worn. There were
  many different options in clothing that people
  had to choose from.
• This is also the case today.

became famous during the Contemporary Period
Picasso (1881-1973) Picasso was the most
influential artist of the 20th century. He was
best knows for founding revolutionary art style,
principally Cubism, and for his contributions as
a sculptor, painter, and designer. He studied
both formally and informally.
