Inkjet printers are designed to use four-colour process printing, otherwise known as CMYK; C for Cyan, M for Magenta, Y for Yellow and K for Black. The ink used is oil-based and once an image is sent through the PC to the printer, it is printed via special rollers, which basically copy and paste the image onto the paper by using water and a manipulation of all four colours.
