• Know and be able to describe the different phases

• Know three ways antimicrobial agents damage
  cells.
• Know an autoclave uses moist heat which denatures
  proteins.
• Know the different forms of pasteurization.
• Know at least three physical methods of
  controlling microbial growth and how they work.
• Know at least three chemical methods of
  controlling microbial growth and how they work.
