Ekaterina Alekseeva is an associate professor at the NSU, holds a PhD in mathematics. Follow to her homepage http//math.nsc.ru/ alekseeva/ In this lesson you will be taught basic features to use modeling language systems and solve your own optimization problem in one of such systems. There is no any knowledge needed for this lesson. Be familiar with fundamental optimization methods could be a plus. Nevertheless, beginners are welcome! At the end of this lesson, you will have learned basic features to create mathematical model for optimization problem to be able to pass mathematical model to modeling language system GAMS to solve optimization problems in GAMS. This lesson will prepare you to use optimization solvers.
