8
Now lets see how we can apply these steps to a
research project!
9
Lets say that the assignment is
  • Select an endangered animal to research.
  • Conduct your research so that you have enough
facts to write a paper and do a presentation for
    your class.
  • Use different types of resources and use both
    primary and secondary sources.
  • Cite your sources on a Works Cited or
    Bibliography page.
  • Your presentation will help your class decide
which endangered species the class should adopt.

10
Do you have a clear idea of all you need to do to
complete this project?
11
Lets take some steps to Define the Task!
12
Lets move on to the next step . . .

After we evaluate and select the sources we want
to use . . .
We need to go to Step 3 Location Access
15
Where might we locate some of the information
sources we talked about?
16
Our next step is Use of Information
17
Taking Notes
18
Synthesis is the next step

(No Transcript)
20
The final step is one that you should do
throughout the research process
  • But . . . especially at the end of the process

21
For things that you did wellgive yourself a pat
on the back!
And for things that you would like to do
differently either make a revision to your
research project or make a mental note for next
time!
Note original ideas on note card
Etc..
