  • In other words, we are learning to combine
    sentences by using appositives.

What are Appositives?
  • Nouns or noun phrases that rename or identify a
    noun
  • In a sentence, they are set off by commas.

    officer.
  • Please talk to Mrs. Powell, the guidance
    counselor.
