What is a pronoun?

• A pronoun is a word used in place of a noun or
  another pronoun.

• In the second sentence, she is a pronoun that
  takes the place of the noun Mrs.Vaz.

• Personal pronouns refer to specific persons or
  things.
• Kareena ate a pizza.
• She was hungry.
• The word "she" is a personal pronoun that refers
  to "Kareena."

  have "-self" or "-selves" added to the end.
• Raj finished the homework himself.
