PROGRAMME TO BOOST FOOD SECURITY IN NIGER ICFM
RESOLUTIONS 23/32 AND 24/33
Objectives - Food security, development of
agriculture and environment preservation. -
Donors Conference was held in Doha, in June
2007 - Amount required over 5 years US 370
million Agreement signed in December, 2008 with
Niger Authorities for the establishment of an OIC
Liaison Office for the Development and
Humanitarian Assistance to Niger in order to
follow-up the programme. Recruitment process of
an Executive officer has been completed.
Activities to start in May 2009.

    work in Member States
  • To make humanitarian organizations key partners
    of governments in the area of development.
  • Results
  • Meetings held in Saly (Senegal) in March 2008 and
    recently in Tripoli (Libya) in March 2009
  • Based on above resolution, OIC Humanitarian NGOs
    will join as Observers.
