• This task represents what I call an all-purpose
  demonstration of memory effects. You can
  demonstrate primacy, recency, von Restorff
  effects, semantic relatedness (toss turn), etc.
  I have students recall the words and hand in
  their answer sheets. I often then summarize these
  for each class, as you can see on the next slide.
  
• I have used this demonstration for so long I no
  longer remember where I got it, but it is NOT
  mine originally. I apologize for the unintended
