Payment Periods for Scholarship Programs
  • 10-Day Policy
  • Outlined in State Board Rule 6A- 6.0970
  • If a student transfers to another private school
    within a payment period, the private school in
    which the student was first in attendance for at
    least 10 school days is eligible for that
    quarterly scholarship payment.

  • If the student is currently enrolled in public

    enrollment into the district.
  • Withdrawal Date
  • If the student is not enrolled in public school
    please enter the date the student withdrew from
    the district.

For students never enrolled in the school
district, all nines (99999999) should be entered
in both the Enroll and Withdrawal Date columns

  • Posted on Northwest Regional Data Center (NWRDC)
    two weeks prior to payment processing
  • Email Notification sent by DOE Management
    Information Systems (MIS) Office to District MIS
    and Superintendents
  • Superintendents required to submit Certification
    Form verifying submitted data

District Notification for FTE Reporting
  • After each of the scholarship payment dates,
  • the district MIS contact is provided with a file
  • through NWRDC containing student information that
    must be reported in the districts FTE surveys.
  • It is extremely important that you report the
    students in the grade level and program level
    indicated on the list because funds will be
    deducted from your district in accordance with
    these data elements.

  • This file is strictly for FTE reporting purposes
  • The program level(s), hours, and FTE are provided
    for reporting the student

    Survey 2 FTE as a scholarship student and

    Survey 3 FTE as a scholarship student

Virtual Schools K through 8
  • Beginning in 2007-2008 In order to participate
    in the program, all schools must apply and meet
    the requirements outlined in SB 1282.
  • Student Eligibility Requirements
  • Enrolled in K-8 virtual school the previous year
  • Enrolled and reported in the public school the
    prior year in the October and February FTE
    surveys
  • Eligible to enter kindergarten or first grade
  • Siblings of current students who were enrolled at
    the end of the prior school year

Florida Virtual School
  • Funded through the FEFP to students statewide
    with priority given to students who
  • need expanded access to courses, i.e., home
    education and inner city and rural high school
    students with limited access to higher level
    courses, or
  • seek accelerated access in order to obtain high
    school diploma.
  • Abides by state guidelines and policies as a
    typical school
  • district.
  • Number of half-credit enrollments 113,900 as of
    Jan. 2008.
