• The aim of the Consortium is to develop an
  integrated library information network in the
  country.

  Information Network LATLIBNET" (1997 - 2001
  2002-). Establishment of an integrated
  information network of 9 libraries of national
  significance - selection and acquisition of an
  integrated information system and the respective
  technical equipment and establishment of the
  basis of a national electronic union catalogue.

The Union Catalogue

• This Union catalogue started to operate in March
  2000 in the library system ALEPH500. The Union
  catalogue offers users the necessary information
  on accessibility of materials, such as
  monographs, serials, sheet music, maps, sound
  records and others available in library stocks.
  There are about 240 000 bibliographic entries in
  the union catalogue now.
