Our CSR Journey
  • In 2004, the Canadian Business for Social

  • A cross functional team was created in early 2005
to review the recommendations and develop a CSR
    Policy and action plan.
  • The CSR Policy and specific recommendations were
    approved in 2005.
  • The recommendations started to be implemented
    immediately.

    strategic and articulated approach.

  • Employees One of the strongest
  • Customers Strong Commitment
  • Suppliers Weak
  • Environment Weakest

Conclusion and Learning
  • CSR is not a project but a process.
  • Rather than a strategy, we view our CSR
Commitment as our filter when making decisions.
  • There are many opportunities for organizations
starting down the path with low hanging fruit
that may not cost much to implement.
  • Great ideas come from the people in your
    organization!
  • We are committed to creating a Corporate Socially
Responsible culture at the North Shore Credit
Union One Step at a Time.
