    group off from RAND Corp to form ISI
  • 1970s - 1980s - ISI 100 funded by DARPA to
    support development of ARPA-Net IT technologies

  • ISI also provides time-shared computing service
    to DoD running over the ARPA-Net
  • Jan 1, 1983 - ISI standardizes TCP/IP the
    Internet is born!
