  • To provide the schools of the state with the very
    best available core-related materials, and to
    eliminate instructional materials that violate
    Utah Code or State Board rules.

  • FALL 2009 ADOPTION SCHEDULE
  • Contract Effective Date January 4,
    2010-December 31, 2014
  • June 8, 2009
  • E-postcard Bid Invitation announcing the opening
    of the Fall 2009 Bid Adoption Cycle will be sent
    to publishers.
  • July 1, 2009
  • "Intention to Bid" form (formerly called the
    publisher cover sheet) will be due to the Utah
    State Office of Education. The bid packet,
    instructions for the bid sheet, and the contract
    will be posted on the IMC website, along with
    links to the procedures required for core
    alignment to be completed for primary materials.
  • August 1, 2009
  • Electronic bids are due to the Utah State Office
    of Education.
  • August 19 28, 2009
  • Samples are due to the Utah State Office of
    Education, IMC Commission, and the Colleges of
    Education.
  • September 25, 2009
  • The signed contract is due back to the Utah State
    Office of Education. If we do not receive a
    signed contract back from your company, your
    materials will be taken off of the Fall 2009 bid
    list and will not be evaluated.
  • October 16, 2009
  • Alignments to the core for "Recommended Primary"
    materials need to be submitted with page number
    references via online interface.NOTE
    Supplemental materials do not require a core
    alignment.
  • September 28- November 6, 2009
  • Evaluation meetings of the Instructional
    Materials Advisory Committees are conducted.
  • November 20, 2009
  • The Utah State Instructional Materials Commission
    Meeting.The Instructional Materials Commission
    submits final recommendations to the State Board
    of Education.
  • December 4, 2009
