  • I urge you, then---I who am a prisoner because I
serve the Lord live a life that measures up to
the standard God set when he called you.
    (Ephesians 41 GN)
  • For the sake of this gospel I am an ambassador,
though now I am in prison. (Ephesians 620 GN)
  • As a result, the whole palace guard and all the
others here know that I am in prison because I am
a servant of Christ. (Philippians 113 GN)
  • At the same time pray also for us, so that God
will give us a good opportunity to preach his
message about the secret of Christ. For that is
why I am now in prison. (Colossians 43 GN)

4
  • There is much we have to say about this matter,
but it is hard to explain to you, because you are
so slow to understand. (Hebrews 511 GN)
  • As a matter of fact, my friends, I could not
talk to you as I talk to people who have the
Spirit I had to talk to you as though you
belonged to this world, as children in the
Christian faith. I had to feed you milk, not
solid food, because you were not ready for it.
    (1 Corinthians 31-3 GN)

5
  • And so we shall all come together to that
oneness in our faith and in our knowledge of the
Son of God we shall become mature people,
reaching to the very height of Christ's full
stature. Then we shall no longer be children,
carried by the waves and blown about by every
shifting wind of the teaching of deceitful
people, who lead others into error by the tricks
they invent. Instead, by speaking the truth in a
spirit of love, we must grow up in every way to
Christ, who is the head. Under his control all
the different parts of the body fit together, and
the whole body is held together by every joint
with which it is provided. So when each separate
part works as it should, the whole body grows and
builds itself up through love. (Ephesians
    413-16 GN)

6
Union
  • God did what he had purposed, and made known to
us the secret plan he had already decided to
complete by means of Christ. This plan, which God
will complete when the time is right, is to bring
all creation together, everything in heaven and
on earth, with Christ as head. All things are
done according to God's plan and decision and
God chose us to be his own people in union with
Christ because of his own purpose, based on what
he had decided from the very beginning.
    (Ephesians 19-11 GN)
  • Through the Son, then, God decided to bring the
whole universe back to himself. God made peace
through his Sons blood on the cross and so
brought back to himself all things, both on earth
and in heaven. (Colossians 120 GN)

7
  • In our union with Christ Jesus he raised us up
with him to rule with him in the heavenly world.
He did this to demonstrate for all time to come
the extraordinary greatness of his grace in the
love he showed us in Christ Jesus. (Ephesians
    26-7 GN)
  • We, however, are citizens of heaven, and we
eagerly wait for our Savior, the Lord Jesus
Christ, to come from heaven. (Philippians 320
    GN)

8
  • So then, you Gentiles are not foreigners or
strangers any longer you are now citizens
together with God's people and members of the
family of God. You, too, are built upon the
foundation laid by the apostles and prophets, the
cornerstone being Christ Jesus himself. He is the
one who holds the whole building together and
makes it grow into a sacred temple dedicated to
    the Lord. (Ephesians 219-21)

9
  • Come to Christ, who is the living cornerstone of
Gods temple. He was rejected by the people, but
he is precious to God who chose him. And now God
is building you, as living stones, into his
spiritual temple. What's more, you are God's holy
priests, who offer the spiritual sacrifices that
please him because of Jesus Christ. (1 Peter
    24-6, NLT)
  • I will make those who are victorious pillars in
the temple of my God, and they will never leave
    it. (Revelation 312 GN)

10
  • You are also God's building. Using the gift that
God gave me, I did the work of an expert builder
and laid the foundation, and someone else is
building on it. But each of you must be careful
how you build. For God has already placed Jesus
Christ as the one and only foundation, and no
other foundation can be laid. Surely you know
that you are God's temple and that God's Spirit
lives in you! God will destroy anyone who
destroys God's temple. For God's temple is holy,
and you yourselves are his temple. (1
    Corinthians 39-17 GN)

11
  • Don't you know that your body is a temple that
belongs to the Holy Spirit? The Holy Spirit, whom
you received from God, lives in you. (1
    Corinthians 619 GODS WORD)
  • For we are the temple of the living God! As God
himself has said, I will make my home with my
people and live among them I will be their God,
and they shall be my people (2 Corinthians 616
    GN)

12
  • The little horn who grew strong enough to attack
the army of heaven, the stars themselves, and it
threw some of them to the ground and trampled on
them. It even defied the Prince of the heavenly
army, stopped the daily sacrifices offered to
him, and ruined the Temple. People sinned there
instead of offering the proper daily sacrifices,
and true religion was thrown to the ground. The
horn was successful in everything it did.
    (Daniel 810-12 GN)

13
  • And he said to him and to me, For 2,300 evenings
and mornings then the sanctuary shall be
cleansed and restored. (Daniel 814 - Amplified)

14
  • On that day the ritual is to be performed to
purify them from all their sins, so that they
will be ritually clean. (Leviticus 1630 GN)
  • The High Priest, properly ordained and
consecrated to succeed his father, is to perform
the ritual of purification. He shall put on the
priestly garments and perform the ritual to
purify the Most Holy Place, the rest of the Tent
of the LORD's presence, the altar, the priests,
and all the people of the community. These
regulations are to be observed for all time to
come. This ritual must be performed once a year
to purify the people of Israel from all their
sins. So Moses did as the LORD had commanded.
    (Leviticus 1632-34 GN)

15
  • It is the duty of priests to teach the true
knowledge of God. People should go to them to
learn my will, because they are the messengers of
the LORD Almighty. But now you priests have
turned away from the right path. Your teaching
has led many to do wrong. You have broken the
covenant I made with you. (Malachi 27-8 GN)
  • The people of Judah have broken their promise to
God and done a horrible thing in Jerusalem and
all over the country. They have defiled the
Temple which the LORD loves. (Malachi 211 GN)

16
  • No one will say, Look, here it is! or, There
it is! because the Kingdom of God is within
    you. (Luke 1721 GN)
  • Jesus noticed how wise his answer was, and so he
told him, You are not far from the Kingdom of
    God. (Mark 1234 GN)
  • Do not let anyone deceive you in any way. For
the Day will not come until the final Rebellion
takes place and the Wicked One appears, who is
destined to hell. He will oppose every so-called
god or object of worship and will put himself
above them all. He will even go in and sit down
in Gods Temple and claim to be God. (2
    Thessalonians 23,4 GN)

18
  • Paul sent messengers to the city of Ephesus and
called the spiritual leaders of the church to
meet with him in Miletus. (Acts 2017)
  • But I don't place any value on my own life. I
want to finish the race I'm running. I want to
carry out the mission I received from the Lord
Jesus-the mission of testifying to the Good News
    of God's kindness. (Acts 2024)
  • I am now entrusting you to God and to his
message that tells how kind he is. That message
can help you grow and can give you the
inheritance that is shared by all of God's holy
    people. (Acts 2032)

19
  • I have not stopped giving thanks to God for you.
I remember you in my prayers and ask the God of
our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, to
give you the Spirit, who will make you wise and
reveal God to you, so that you will know him.
    (Ephesians 116-17 GN)

20
  • Not only those things I reckon everything as
complete loss for the sake of what is so much
more valuable, the knowledge of Christ Jesus my
Lord. For his sake I have thrown everything away
I consider it all as mere garbage, so that I may
gain Christ and be completely united with himAll
I want is to know Christ and to experience the
power of his resurrection, to share in his
sufferings and become like him in his death, in
the hope that I myself will be raised from death
to life. I do not claim that I have already
succeeded or have already become perfect.
    (Philippians 38-12 GN)

21
  • For this reason we have always prayed for you,
ever since we heard about you. We ask God to fill
you with the knowledge of his will, with all the
wisdom and understanding that his Spirit gives.
Then you will be able to live as the Lord wants
and will always do what pleases him. Your lives
will produce all kinds of good deeds, and you
will grow in your knowledge of God. (Colossians
    19-10 GN)

22
  • I ask God from the wealth of his glory to give
you power through his Spirit to be strong in your
inner selves, and I pray that Christ will make
his home in your hearts through faith. I pray
that you may have your roots and foundation in
love, so that you, together with all God's
people, may have the power to understand how
broad and long, how high and deep, is Christ's
love. Yes, may you come to know his
love---although it can never be fully known---and
so be completely filled with the very nature of
God. To him who by means of his power working in
us is able to do so much more than we can ever
ask for, or even think of to God be the glory in
the church and in Christ Jesus for all time,
forever and ever! Amen. (Ephesians 316-21 GN)
    -

23
  • I urge you, then---I who am a prisoner because I
serve the Lord live a life that measures up to
the standard God set when he called you. Be
always humble, gentle, and patient. Show your
love by being tolerant with one another.
    (Ephesians 41-2 GN)

24
  • So get rid of your old self, which made you live
as you used to---the old self that was being
destroyed by its deceitful desires. Your hearts
and minds must be made completely new, and you
must put on the new self, which is created in
God's likeness and reveals itself in the true
life that is upright and holy. (Ephesians
    422-24 GN)

25
  • You are the people of God he loved you and
chose you for his own. So then, you must clothe
    yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility,
gentleness, and patience. Be tolerant with one
another and forgive one another whenever any of
you has a complaint against someone else. You
must forgive one another just as the Lord has
forgiven you. And to all these qualities add
love, which binds all things together in perfect
unity. The peace that Christ gives is to guide
you in the decisions you make for it is to this
peace that God has called you together in the one
    body. (Colossians 312-15 GN)

26
  • Your life in Christ makes you strong, and his
love comforts you. You have fellowship with the
Spirit, and you have kindness and compassion for
one another. I urge you, then, to make me
completely happy by having the same thoughts,
sharing the same love, and being one in soul and
mind. Don't do anything from selfish ambition or
from a cheap desire to boast, but be humble
toward one another, always considering others
better than yourselves. And look out for one
another's interests, not just for your own.
    (Philippians 21-4 GN)

27
  • Get rid of all bitterness, passion, and anger.
No more shouting or insults, no more hateful
feelings of any sort. Instead, be kind and
tender-hearted to one another, and forgive one
another, as God has forgiven you through Christ.
Since you are God's dear children, you must try
to be like him. Your life must be controlled by
love, just as Christ loved us and gave his life
for us as a sweet-smelling offering and sacrifice
that pleases God. (Ephesians 431-52 GN)

28
  • God uses us to make the knowledge about Christ
spread everywhere like a sweet fragrance. For we
are like a sweet-smelling incense offered by
Christ to God, which spreads among those who are
being saved and those who are being lost. For
those who are being lost, it is a deadly stench
that kills but for those who are being saved, it
is a fragrance that brings life. (2 Corinthians
    214-16 GN)

29
  • Get rid of all bitterness, passion, and anger.
No more shouting or insults, no more hateful
feelings of any sort. Instead, be kind and
tender-hearted to one another, and forgive one
another, as God has forgiven you through Christ.
Since you are God's dear children, you must try
to be like him. Your life must be controlled by
love, just as Christ loved us and gave his life
for us as a sweet-smelling offering and sacrifice
that pleases God. (Ephesians 431-52 GN)

30
  • You yourselves used to be in the darkness, but
since you have become the Lord's people, you are
in the light. So you must live like people who
belong to the light, for it is the light that
brings a rich harvest of every kind of goodness,
righteousness, and truth. (Ephesians 58-9 GN)

31
  • As the scripture says, For this reason a man
will leave his father and mother and unite with
his wife, and the two will become one. There is
a deep secret truth revealed in this scripture,
which I understand as applying to Christ and the
    church. (Ephesians 531-33 GN)

32
  • Lover
  • The relationship you can have with me is no less
intense than that of a young couple in love (Song
    of Songs)
  • Bridegroom on the wedding day
  • I saw a new heaven and a new earth, because the
first heaven and earth had disappeared, and the
sea was gone. Then I saw the holy city, New
Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven,
dressed like a bride ready for her husband. I
heard a loud voice from the throne say, God
lives with humans! God will make his home with
them, and they will be his people. God himself
will be with them and be their God. (Revelation
    211-3 GODS WORD)
  • Loving husband
  • If you leave me to become a prostitute, I will
seek you out to fully restore you as my wife
    (Hosea)

33
  • The good Shepherd
  • Im like a shepherd to you my sheep (Psalm 23)
  • If you are the only one out of 100 that leave, I
will drop everything to find you (Jesus)
  • My sheep know my voice, and I know them (Jesus)
  • I am willing to lay down my life for my sheep
    (Jesus)

34
  • Caring vineyard owner
  • Ill sing a ballad to the one I love, a love
ballad about his vineyard The one I love had a
vineyard, a fine, well-placed vineyard. He hoed
the soil and pulled the weeds, and planted the
very best vines. He built a lookout, built a
winepress, a vineyard to be proud of. (Isaiah
    51,2 The Message)
  • Friend
  • I do not call you servants any longer, because
servants do not know what their master is doing.
Instead, I call you friends. (John 1515 GN)

35
  • Nursing mother
  • Could a mother forget a child who nurses at her
breast? Could she fail to love an infant who came
from her own body? Even if a mother could forget,
I will never forget you. (Isaiah 4915 CEV)
  • Mother hen
  • Jerusalem, Jerusalem! You kill the prophets and
stone the messengers God has sent you! How many
times I wanted to put my arms around all your
people, just as a hen gathers her chicks under
her wings, but you would not let me! (Matthew
    2337 GN)
  • Tender Father
  • He was still a long way from home when his
father saw him his heart was filled with pity,
and he ran, threw his arms around his son, and
    kissed him. (Luke 1515 GN)

36
  • God's plan is to make known his secret to his
people, this rich and glorious secret which he
has for all peoples. And the secret is that
Christ is in you, which means that you will share
in the glory of God. So we preach Christ to
everyone. With all possible wisdom we warn and
teach them in order to bring each one into God's
presence as a mature individual in union with
    Christ. (Colossians 127-28)

37
  • And I was told that the number of those who were
marked with Gods seal on their foreheads was
    144,000. (Revelation 74 GN)
