Overview

• MicroMouse
• Autonomous robot
• Find center of a 16 x 16 maze
• Uses tracking program to keep track of location
  of maze
• Continues to search until it finds the fastest
  path to center

Approach

• Use tutorials to help construct hardware to build
  mouse
• Calculate rotations needed to move wheels
• Create tracking software to find fastest route to
  center

Potential Problems

• Not having enough parts
• Design to fit in maze
• Incorrect calculations for turning of wheels
• Creating a program to track exactly where it has
  been
• No prior experience with MicroMouse

What we expect to learn

• How to create an autonomous robot
• How to use the rabbit microcontroller to drive
  robot
• How to solve an engineering project related to
  future work

Deliverable Goals

• Have our mouse move straight and make turns
  without crashing
• Track for a short distance
• Find center at least once this semester

Proposed Schedule

• Meet at least once weekly
• Update website weekly
• By February Design and build mouse
• Have a mouse set up by first mini-competition
• By April Improve coding
• Have a ready mouse by second mini-competition
