Criteria - Recruitment

• Appropriate training of selection personnel
• Clear policy on entry requirements
• Application of standards in the application,
  scoring and evaluation tests
• Documentation of assessment rules and results
• Defined criteria for person specification/job
  profile to assess candidates

Criteria ATCO Training

• ANSPs must have Approved training processes in
  place
• Initial Training must comply, at a minimum, with
  the objectives of the Common Core Content
• OJT Instructors must follow an Approved training
  course passed any assessment/examinations
• Unit Training Plans must be Approved by the NSA
• ANSPs must ensure that ATCOs have Refresher
  Emergency Training and also have a Competence
  Assessment Scheme in place

Criteria ATCO Medical

• ATCOs must hold a valid Medical Certificate
• Medical Certificates shall be issued by a
  competent medical body of the NSA or by medical
  examiners approved by the NSA

Criteria - Language

• ATCOs shall demonstrate an adequate level of
  Linguistic Proficiency
• ATCOs shall demonstrate the ability to speak and
  understand English to a satisfactory standard
• Proficiency shall be demonstrated by a
  certificate issued after a transparent and
  objective assessment procedure approved by the
  National Supervisory Authority

Criteria Engineers Technical Personnel

• A provider of air traffic services shall ensure
  that technical and engineering personnel
  including personnel of subcontracted operating
  organisations who operate and maintain ATM
  equipment use and maintain sufficient
  knowledge and understanding of the services they
  are supporting

Criteria Engineers Technical Personnel

• With regard to the personnel involved in safety
  related tasks..shall document the adequacy of
  the competence of personnel the rostering
  arrangements in place to ensure sufficient
  capacity and continuity of service the personnel
  qualification schemes and policy, the personnel
  training policy, training plans and records.
