What do we know?
  • At least 60 of the world's population fails to
    complete the recommended amount of physical
    activity required to induce health benefits
  • YOUNG PEOPLE (5-18 YEARS OLD)
  • 60 minutes of moderate- to vigorous-intensity
    physical activity each day that is
    developmentally appropriate and involves a
    variety of activities.

  • More physical activity provides greater health
    benefits

  • control over risky behaviours particularly among
    children and young people (e.g. tobacco use,
    alcohol / substance use, unhealthy diet and
    violence)
