Product Selection
  • Select a product that requires repetitive
    operations, no custom made products.
  • You must actually manufacture 80 to 90 of your
    product, not outsource it.
  • Below are listed some product categories that you
    may draw from, although there are other
    categories that may work also.
  • Shoes
  • Clothing
  • Furniture
  • Office/school supplies
  • Toys
  • Food industry
  • Printing/publishing
  • Sporting goods
  • Automotive accessories
  • Electronics

Grading
  • 300 Three 100 point exams (3rd exam on Finals
    Day)
  • 150 Two group presentations in the Lecture
    class (75 points each)
  • 150 Two group projects in the Lecture class
    (75 points each)
  • 100 Four Homework assignments (25 points each)
  • 40 Grade assigned to each group member by
    fellow members
  • 60 Attendance grade for Lab phase (lab
    attendance is mandatory)
  • 800 Total Possible Course Points

Grading (2)
  • An A will be given to a student with 720 or
    more points at course end.
  • A B will be given to a student with 640 or more
    points at course end.
  • A C will be given to a student with 560 or more
    points at course end.
  • A D will be given to a student with 480 or more
    points at course end.
  • An F will be given to a student with less than
    480 points at course end.
