Solistics Home Page
  • Go to www.solistics.com and click on Log onto My
    Account

Solistics Online Login
  • Enter your Login ID and Password they are case
    sensitive, and click the Sign In button

Customer Portal Overview
  • Your typical customer portal consists of five
    Portlets as follows
  • Rate Shop, Add Shipment, Manage Locations, Manage
    Items, and My Reports
  • Operations normally administers the Manage
    Items portlet
  • Your company name will be displayed where you see
    Portal Test displayed

Rate Shop
  • Compare rates with multiple carriers

Two Methods for Determining Rates
  • By entering 5 digit zip codes (Only US rates are
    available online currently)
  • By entering City and State (two letter
    abbreviation in caps)

Additional Services Required
  • Click drop down arrow and select service needed
  • Repeat process for additional services as needed
  • When finished services will be saved and need to
    be cleared if not needed for subsequent quotes

Class and Weight
  • Enter the actual class or classes of freight
  • Enter weight in pounds
  • Click on Search

Rate Shop Results
  • Results displayed by Carrier Name, Total Charges,
    Estimated Service Days, and Distance
  • Results are sorted from lowest to highest carrier
    rate

Rate Another
  • Click on the Rate Another link to rate another
    shipment
  • Remember that Services such as Lift-gate,
    Notify, etc will be retained, and need to be
    cleared

Locations
  • Store all your customer addresses here
  • Input locations before creating shipments

Adding Location
  • Click green plus sign to add new customer
  • Click on any part of existing customer address
    link to edit

Name of Company
  • Select Customer from the Type dropdown
  • Enter Company name in Name location
  • Click Next

Address
  • Enter physical street address
  • Enter City and State (two letter state
    abbreviation)
  • Enter zip / postal code
  • Country is defaulted to USA
  • Click Next

Contact Information
  • Enter shipping contact name, phone, fax, and
    email if available
  • Click Next

Shipping Hours
  • Enter shipping hours Open (Earliest Appt), Close
    (Latest Appt)
  • Click Next

Save Location
  • Click Save Location
  • Follow same process to enter another

Add Shipment
  • Customer can enter an Online Shipment using this
    portlet

Maximize Portlet Size
  • Click on the Maximize square to enlarge add
    shipment portlet for easier use
  • You can maximize any of the portlets

Enter Shipping Address
  • Click Small magnifying glass to open a popup
    window containing your saved locations

Select Shipper Location
  • Select dot next to desired shipping location
  • Address will auto-fill

Pick-Up Date and Time
  • Enter the correct pick-up date
  • Verify that the shipping hours are correct
    change if needed

Enter Consignee Address
  • Follow same procedure as for shipper

Select Consignee
  • Select dot next to desired consignee
  • Address will auto-fill

Delivery Date
  • Delivery date is defaulted
  • Change date if you need it delivered sooner you
    will also confirm this later
  • Click Next

Select Services
  • Check any needed additional services you will
    also confirm this later in Special Instructions

Shipping Items
  • Solistics will enter your items with Class of
    Item, Description, Type of Packaging NMFC
    Number into your portal for your convenience
  • Click magnifying glass at end of Item ID line
    to access your items list

Select Item
  • Click dot next to appropriate shipping item item
    will auto-fill
  • Select add more items if shipping multiple
    classes/items
  • Repeat process

Weight
  • Enter weight in pounds for each item selected

Quantity
  • Enter quantity and confirm shipping unit (box,
    pallet, etc) from dropdown next to Quantity
  • Repeat for each item selected
  • Add to Description box if needed for clarity
  • Click Next

Special Instructions and References
  • Enter the additional services (Lift-gate, Notify,
    etc) that you checked earlier in the Special
    Instructions box along with service
    requirements, numbers to call for appointments,
    etc
  • Enter References such as PO Number, etcSolistics
    can add additional references as needed
  • Click Next

Carrier Rates
  • Select the dot next to the desired carrier for
    your shipment
  • Click Next

Shipment Confirmation
  • This screen verifies the shipment basics,
    carrier, and rate
  • A linear foot advisement also appears below the
    shipment details
  • Clicking Next will create a shipment in
    Solistics system
  • Your shipment is electronically sorted into a
    pending dispatch folder according to the date and
    Pick-up hours entered Solistics will dispatch
    the carrier unless otherwise notified

Third Party BOL
  • A Solistics BOL will popup you must have Adobe
    installed
  • Be sure that the carrier uses this Solistics BOL
    so that you receive the proper pricing

Finish
  • Click Finish and you are ready to enter another
    shipment

Minimize
  • Clicking the Maximize (not the minimize) button
    again will bring back the entire portal

Tracking
  • Report contains up-to-date tracking results
    sorted by ship date
  • Click on Customer Shipment Status Link to open
    report

Report Format
  • Primary Reference (BOL number), Ship
    Date, Status, Actual Delivery Date,
  • Customer Charge, Carrier, PRO Number,  Origin
    Name,  Dest. Name, and Dest. Zip
