Machine modeling
  • A first version of the modular modeling approach
    is now available
  • The modeling approach is based on a physical
    approach we replicate exactly in the model the
    winding structure
  • System is designed such that any set of
    independent stator modules can be connected to a
    single slider module

The current model
  • We focused on permanent magnet case. Two
    sub-models are available
  • Stator module
  • Slider module(Shuttle module)
  • You can put together up to twelve stator modules
    together with one slider module

Control
  • The control modeling is based on the VTB-Simulink
    interface
  • The control algorithms are designed in Simulink,
    then tested and finally compiled for better
    performance
  • Modular structure of the motor requires a
    hierarchical structure for the thrust control
  • A first experiment of distributed control has
    also been performed

  • Two Level Of Control
  • SM(System Manager)
  • - Only one thrust control is used
  • - It will decide which sections have to activate
    the current control
  • HM(Hardware Manager)
  • - As many current controllers as the number of
    H bridges are used
  • - Receives a current reference and accordingly
    implements the current strategy
