5AIM OF THE PROJECT
- To promote the social, emotional and mental
health of young people in Epping Forest. - 1 in 4 people will have a mental health problem
at some stage in their life. - As more people are equipped with knowledge and
information on the issues surrounding mental
health, this will positively impact on their
health and future.
6OBJECTIVES
- Raise awareness of mental health issues with
school staff and young people. - Develop knowledge and personal skills in young
people. - Produce a resource pack on mental health issues
for secondary schools. - Provide training and support in the delivery of
the pack to pupils and schools. - Implement a PSHE programme that is
self-sustaining beyond the life of the project. - To reduce the likelihood of mental health
difficulties arising. - Assist schools to identify individuals with
emerging mental health difficulties. - To provide up-to-date information on routes of
referral and signposting to relevant organisation
