The Launch of New RoundtablesAction-Research
Roundtable Program Wave V Projects Fiscal
Year 2004-05
  • Organizational Memory (Chaired by François
    Guimont) Fall 2005 Product Release
  • This Roundtable will look at the chronic loss of
valuable knowledge due to factors such as
    retirement, employee turnover, poor information
management, and organizational change. It will
survey the research evidence and Public Service
experience in order to develop practical advice
about how best to retain and leverage this
    knowledge.
  • Creativity (Chaired by Diane Vincent) Fall 2005
    Product Release
  • This Roundtable will take stock of those things
that help public servants be inventive, mentally
nimble, and imaginative as they tackle issues in
a highly complex managerial environment. This
includes generating novel ideas, engaging in
    creative problem-solving and cultivating active
minds that can think laterally, thereby
unleashing the creative potential of public
    servants.
  • Strategic Talent Management (Chaired by
    Jean-Claude Bouchard) Winter 2005-06 Product
    Release
  • This Roundtable will take stock of what is known
about how best to integrate human resource
planning with business planning and other areas
of organizational management within private and
public organizations. It will create a practical
product that provides advice to the general
practitioner with respect to this integration and
to the challenge of implementing the PSMA.
