• TO IDENTIFY STRATEGIES AND BEST PRACTICES TO
• Facilitate community-based clinical and
  translational research addressing health
  disparities in under-served populations
• Support development of sustainable, culturally
  appropriate prevention/intervention research
  programs to decrease the disproportionate burden
  of disease
• Build community relationships and trust

• Promote interdisciplinary, multi-site
  collaborations between academic researchers and
  community health care providers
• Facilitate IDeA, RCMI communities involvement in
  clinical and translational science
• Develop versatile and sustainable core research
  infrastructure (informatics tools, secure data
  networks) and effective and stimulating
  environments to facilitate training and
  development of clinical investigators in areas of
  health disparities and special populations
• Build partnerships among government agencies,
  academic organizations and private/community
  organizations to address community health
  outcomes
