Your challenges promoting PBIS?
Group Brainstorm
  • The only thing that is constant is change
    itself

10
Becoming an Agent of Change
  • Control Your Attitude
  • I was going to buy a copy of The Power of
Positive Thinking, and then I thought What the
hell good would that do? (Ronnie Shakes)
  • Take some ownership of the changes
  • I dont want any yes-men around me, I want
everybody to tell me the truth even if it costs
    them their job. (Samuel Goldwyn)
  • Choose your battles carefully
  • Pick battles big enough to matter, small enough
    to win. (Jonathan Kozol)
  • Be tolerant of management mistakes
  • More than anytime in history mankind faces a
crossroads. One path leads to despair and utter
hopelessness, the other to total extinction. Let
us pray that we have the wisdom to choose
    correctly. (Woody Allen)
  • Keep your sense of humor
  • Enjoy yourself. If you cant enjoy yourself,
    enjoy somebody else. (Jack Schaefer)

11
Becoming an Agent of Change
  • Dont let your strengths become weaknesses
  • As youre the only one you can really change,
the only one who can really use all your good
advice is yourself. (John-Roger and Peter
    McWilliams)
  • Practice good stress management techniques
  • Ive tried relaxing, but - I dont know I feel
more comfortable tense. (Caption for Hamilton
    cartoon)
  • Support higher management
  • Keep your bosss boss off your bosss back.
    (First Law of Corporate Survival)
  • Invent the future instead of trying to redesign
    the past
  • The trouble with the future is that it usually
arrives before were ready for it. (Arnold H.
    Glasglow)
