Sponsorship Application Process
  • Event Management Submits Application
  • Bi-weekly Review
  • Ensure all information provided
  • Determine status of post-event deliverables from
    previous event
  • Proceedings uploaded into Xplore
  • Copies of proceedings, final program,etc.
  • Provision of attendee list
  • Payment of any applicable processing fees
  • All deliverables must be met before new
    application will be processed
  • Check event website CFP
  • TC Cluster Review
  • Approval/Denial based on Cluster Response
  • Notify Event Management

Sponsorship Application Form
  • Early Spring 2009 Update Planned Changes
  • TC representation on TPC at least 3 TC
    representatives
  • Add website location of form (many applicants use
    the previous years form)
  • Sister Society involvement clarify this implies
    a Sister Society must have a financial interest
    in the event
  • Other additions?

ComSoc Logo Usage
  • ComSoc-sponsored (financial and technical) events
    must use the ComSoc Society logo
  • ComSoc Chapters may use the ComSoc Chapter logo
    for any local chapter activities (newsletters,
    websites, meetings, etc.)
  • Logos have beendeveloped for each chapter
  • Create-Net and ICST Issues
  • Logo guidelines on our website to be revisited
  • We must protect our ComSoc logo and name
  • Applying events are not authorized to use our
    logo or name until/unless they receive approval
  • References to approval pending or similar are
    not allowed
  • A chapter logo may not be used by an event to
    imply ComSoc Society sponsorship
  • Technical Committees may not technically
    co-sponsor an event

  • ComSoc VP recommends event to Conferences Council
  • Conferences Council reviews
  • Event submits application form
  • Application sent for Cluster Review with the
    following note
  • This event has been selected to satisfy
    ComSoc strategy and therefore TC endorsement is
    being requested.
