• Support given to the FETs
• Assist Public FET Colleges to obtain programme
  approval with the CHIETA to deliver learning
  programmes which falls within the primary focus
  of the Chemical Industries Sector
  and are registered
  with SAQA
• Provide support to the Human Resources within
  the Public FET framework e.g. ETD Practitioners
  to be trained as assessors and moderators

• Support given to the FETs
• ETD Practitioners are assisted to be registered
  as constituent assessors and moderators with the
  CHIETA
• CHIETA also assists public FETs to establish
  Institutions of Occupational Excellence
• The CHIETA also coordinates and facilitates the
  establishment of strategic partnerships between
  Public FET providers and the workplace in order
  to afford FET Colleges Learners with a platform
  to gain workplace experience through the CHIETAs
  workplace experience grants
