the COMESA Treaty provides COMESA with a mandate
to develop and implement regional information

Framework on E-Government for COMESA
  • Framework done by Consultant from the COMESA
    region. Adopted by Council in December 2008
  • Objective was to draw-up an e-Government
    Framework that COMESA member states can adopt,
    based on international best practices
  • Desk-based Study to produce framework looked at
    four countries in the region
  • 2 were advanced (Egypt Mauritius)
  • 2 were start-ups (Kenya Uganda)
