1. Objective

• Transmission in field 72 of MT 900/910 of
  optional elements when they are filled in
  ASTransferInitiation
• Sub-participant Debtor
• Sub-participant Creditor

2. ASTransferInitiation General rules

• FirstAgent identifies the account to debit in the
  SSP
• FinalAgent identifies the account to credit in
  the SSP
• Debtor is an optional element to identify the
  debited third party
• Creditor is an optional element to identify the
  credited third party

3. ASTransferInitiation Debtor/Creditor

• In ASTransferInitiation, Debtor and Creditor are
  composed of 3 optional elements

• Name (70x)
• BIC (11x)
• DomesticAccountIdentification (35x)

4. ASTransferInitiation RemittanceInformation

• In ASTransferInitiation, RemittanceInformation is
  an optional element with a maximal length of 140
  characters in free text form
• Usage
• Information supplied by the AS to enable the
  matching of an entry with the items that the
  transfer is intended to settle

5. Word-codes in field 72 of MT 900/910

• If Debtor and Creditor are filled in
  ASTransferInitiation they are sent in field 72
  with the following code words
• MT 900 /ASDEBT/ (debtor)
• MT 910 /ASCRED/ (creditor)
• If RemittanceInformation is filled in
  ASTransferInitiation, it is sent in field 72 with
  the following code words
• MT 900/910 /ASINF/(RemittanceInformation)

6. Normalisation for /ASDEBT/ and /ASCRED/

• The separator is used to distinguish the 3
  optional elements.

Following the code words /ASDEBT/ and /ASCRED/
the allowed data combinations are

7. Field 72 Length of the data for /ASDEBT/ and
/ASCRED/

• The data for sub-participant Debtor and
  sub-participant Creditor sent by the AS are
  transmitted in MT900/910 without truncation.
• These data will occupy from the 1st to the 4th
  line (maximum) according to the rules of field
  72.
• Example with the maximum data length (118x)
• /ASDEBT/ 27x

8. Field 72 Length of the data for /ASINF/

• RemittanceInformation (140x) may occupy 5 lines
  (maximum) of the field 72.
• As field 72 is limited to 6 lines of 35x, the
  RemittanceInformation will be truncated according
  to a dynamically handling of the remaining lines
  of field 72 after the code words /ASDEBT/ or
  /ASCRED/
