Presentation Outline
  • Introduction
  • Problem Definition and Goal
  • Requirement Analysis
  • Design
  • Implementation
  • Current Status

3
Introduction
  • As mobile devices have many functions and provide
the accessibility to the heterogeneous network,
the end-users wish to use the more reliable and
more quality services on their mobile devices
  • the mobile device will have more failures because
    of its complexity
  • The need on self-diagnostics of the mobile
    devices has been increasing

4
Problem Definition
  • There is still little remote monitoring solution
for diagnostics of mobile device failures
  • Similar Related work
  • general OS such as Window and UNIX
  • Symbian OS

5
Goal
  • Generic remote monitoring method to diagnose
failures in mobile device based on OMA-DM
  • Define generic management objects (MOs) for
    diagnostics of mobile device failures
  • Design management operation
  • Define device diagnostic functions and MOs for
    them
  • Validation
  • Development of remote monitoring system based on
    Mos
  • Test on Battery Drain Problem
