  • CLOCK BOARD FUNCTION
  • Receive timing information optically from TTC
    system via the TTCrx.
  • Distribute timing information to the Front End
    boards that reside in the RBX using LVPECL
    differential technology.
  • CONTROL BOARD FUNCTION
  • Interface to Main Control System.
  • Distribute control signals to Front End boards
    via RBXbus.
  • Control Clock and Monitor boards.
  • MONITOR BOARD FUNCTION
  • Monitor power supply voltages.
  • Monitor temperature of Readout modules.

  • STATUS
  • Two Prototype Modules used in Test Beam 2002
  • Serial Interface Communication software
    exercised in TB-2002
  • Minor modifications to code in future.
  • Control of Readout Modules was successful during
    TB-2002
  • Minor modifications to code in future.
  • FPGA Design(Controller Board)
  • Initial design done in Actel ProAsic
    Reprogrammable part(TB-2002).
  • Same design placed in Actel Antifuse part
    tested(50 of cells used).
  • Modified design using TMR strategy in
    simulation.
  • Mechanical Module Design Fabrication
  • Will use similar mechanical design as Readout
    Modules.
  • Part CCM Radiation qualification
  • All parts have been tested. No SEL or TID
    failures at CMS levels.
  • 1 - CCM unit w/Antifuse FPGA sacrificed in Oct.
    Radiation tests.
  • Actel Antifuse FPGA with 670 bit shift register
    implemented with TMR had 0 SEU in Oct. Radiation
    tests.
