Oust XP
  • New formulation
  • Same 75 active ingredient
  • Extruded granule process
  • Better solubility
  • Re-suspends
  • Less dust

6
Objective

between these two formulations of sulfometuron.

14
Discussion
  • No differences in effectiveness observed between
    Oust and Oust XP.
  • Oust and Oust XP used alone will not provide
broad spectrum control. Common ragweed was the
    most significant escape.
  • Either formulation used as part of a basic mix
will provide adequate control in most bareground
    maintenance situations.

15
Comparison of Several Diuron Products for
Bareground Weed Control

24
Discussion
  • A tremendous amount of spotted knapweed returning
from seed by the October 15 rating. Variable
    population across the study.
  • Untreated check was not included in the
    statistical analysis.
  • No significant differences noted among the
materials tested. All performed equally well.

Discussion
  • 3 months after application there was no
significant difference in vegetative cover among
    treatments.
  • Trend toward 5 gal/ac to provide more complete
    control than 2 gal/ac.
  • Adding 0.5 oz/ac Metgard helped reduce crownvetch
    cover.
  • This premix provided control comparable to
    industry standards.
